The funny thing about this morning was that even though I had to get up early to go to Walmart, it was actually later than I got up last Saturday when we were getting ready to check out of the timeshare!
I am still somewhat under the weather, so I was kind of proud of myself for what little I did get done–my 50 scales and arpeggios, of course, and a bunch of paper grading and other class-related stuff. I have had so much stuff going on physically that I am really behind on my grading and it felt good to make a dent in it.
The girls were getting ready for the chai party, our first of the summer. Only 14 people said they were coming, so we didn’t make a whole lot of food. Of course, then we ended up having a pretty good crowd! I stayed outside quite a while visiting with my neighbor Sylvia, but eventually I had to come inside to tune my autoharp and practice for tomorrow. All 36 strings were flat. *sigh* I wonder if it was the car trip on Sunday.
The boys and Walter did their yard jobs despite a couple of heavy downpours, and then came back to help set up for the chai party.
